Telecom and Security Technician at TELUS

Join Canadian Network Installations as a Telecom and Security I&R Technician focused on installations in Cranbrook. Utilize your expertise in security systems and telecom repairs for residential and small business clients.

The ideal technician will work on infrastructure projects for TELUS's National telecom carrier clients. This full-time role requires hands-on installation and repair of security and telecom systems, ensuring quality service delivery. You will also manage customer interactions and assist in identifying telecommunications needs while aiming to exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure security cameras and sensors

• Perform installations of Fibre Internet services

• Lift materials and work on ladders up to 32 feet

• Configure access panels and monitoring protocols

• Engage directly with clients to identify needs

Requirements:

• 1 year experience as an Alarm Technician or in I&R Copper/Fibre Telecom

• Valid driver’s license and able to operate commercial vehicles

• Strong communication skills for customer interactions

• Willingness to travel and deliver high-quality work

• Government security clearance credentials preferred
