Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is a boutique, full-service accounting and business consulting firm known for delivering thoughtful, personalized solutions to complex financial, tax, and business challenges. They blend the high-touch service of a local firm with the sophistication of a national practice. Located in Cranford, NJ, they serve a diverse client base of closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and entrepreneurial clients.

The Senior Tax Accountant will work across multiple client engagements, including tax and accounting. This is an ideal role for an experienced public accountant who thrives in a collaborative, advisory-oriented firm that values client relationships, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Participate in financial statement preparation and compilation engagements
• Conduct tax planning and research for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses
• Assist clients with business consulting matters including entity selection, succession planning, and M&A support
• Mentor junior staff and support their development

• 3-10 years of recent public accounting experience (large firm preferred; local firm experience is a plus)
• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, GAAP, and business advisory best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  Master's in Taxation a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
• PC skills, including accounting software proficiency (Lacerte or Engagement proficiency is a plus)
