Underwriter, Risk Manager/Analyst
Wanted:
Experienced Senior Non-QM Underwriter with strong conventional and government loans experience
Salary: $100,000 - $100,000 per year

New Jersey (In‑house preferred, hybrid/remote options depending on experience)
Job type:
Senior Non-QM Underwriter supporting Retail and Wholesale channels in a fast‑paced environment responsible for reviewing, decisioning, and clearing loans through Clear‑to‑Close.
- Underwrite Non‑QM loans plus Conventional, FHA, Jumbo, Bond, and VA
- Manage files from initial decision through Clear‑to‑Close (CTC)
- Strong experience with Non‑QM programs (Bank Statement, DSCR, Asset Utilization, ITIN)
- Analyze complex income, including self‑employed borrowers
- Partner with Retail Loan Officers and Wholesale brokers
- Maintain SLA turnaround times while protecting credit quality
- Work with Loan Originators to restructure loans
- Respond to underwriting scenario desk inquiries
- 5+ years current front‑line underwriting experience
- 2+ years hands‑on Non‑QM underwriting
- Active VA LAPP/SAR and FHA DE authority strongly preferred
- Strong DU/LP and manual underwriting knowledge
- Advanced self‑employed income analysis skills
- Advanced rental income analysis skills
- Experience with Encompass or comparable LOS
- Ability to manage production pipeline independently
- Strong understanding of secondary market requirements
- Ability to respond to investors and government agencies to resolve deficiencies
- Team player with a strong commitment to customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
