Summary

The Air Export Freight Forwarding Agent is responsible for managing all operational aspects of clients’ air export shipments, including planning, pricing, customer communication, and the financial closing of files. This role ensures shipments move efficiently from origin to destination while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The agent serves as a key point of contact for customers, agents, and partners and supports business growth through service excellence and proactive engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with agents, clients, and service partners to understand and support their business needs.
  • Coordinate air export shipments from origin through final destination.
  • Book cargo with airlines and trucking providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with overseas partners and agents to ensure proper handling, routing, and timely deliveries.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with global offices and network partners.
  • Engage with existing and prospective clients to identify opportunities and support business growth.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of IATA and TSA rules and regulations relevant to LEMAN’s export operations.
  • Provide rate quotations to clients and overseas partners/agents.
  • Create new customer profiles and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ongoing business.
  • Invoice shipments and review/approve associated costs to ensure accuracy.
  • Negotiate air freight, local charges, and overseas costs to secure competitive pricing for clients.
  • Adhere to company KPIs related to billing timelines, financial closings, and vendor invoice postings.
  • Close files promptly once all billing and costs are posted.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Cargowise Experience Preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of air export freight forwarding experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
