Doucette CPAs is a growing full-service accounting, tax and consulting firm seeking a talented and motivated leader to serve as Accounting Manager for our tax and accounting services teams.
The candidate must be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently and independently. Excellent oral and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills required.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in public accounting, CPA designation, experience supervising a team, and a strong desire to work with the Managing Partner to grow the firm. This exciting position has partner potential as we build our leadership team of the future.

Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal, state and local corporate, partnership, fiduciary, individual and not-forprofit tax returns with accuracy and technical compliance
- Oversee client bookkeeping, budget development, tax planning projections, line of credit applications and other related projects
- Remain current with tax laws and regulations
- Manage and train team members and direct tax and accounting operations
- Manage client relationships, including onboarding and training
- Identify areas for improvement in process, procedures and workflow to develop optimal standard operating procedures
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting regulations
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills aligned with firm culture
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and adhere to budgets
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to problem solve and communicate solutions
- Ability to handle sensitive and private business matters with confidentiality and discretion
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minimum)
- 8+ years of experience in public accounting
- Skilled in using accounting software and related technology; familiarity with Quick Books Online and other cloud-based accounting platforms is preferred
- As part of our leadership team, the candidate must reside locally with the ability to work primarily in our Franklin, MA office at the time of onboarding. Once established, the role has a hybrid option with the ability to work remotely 2 days a week (if desired).
