Doucette CPAs is a growing full-service accounting, tax, and consulting firm seeking talented accountants with 2+ years of experience in public accounting who are looking to take the next step in their career by joining our audit team.
The candidate must be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently and independently. Excellent oral and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills are required. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of audit experience in public accounting, be willing to learn, and possess a commitment to delivering exceptional client service as they strengthen their technical skills to advance within the firm.

Responsibilities- Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Assist in the audit and review of financial statements for clients in a variety of industries
- Preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide timely updates on engagement status
- Collaborate with the management team to identify and resolve issues encountered during client engagements
- Stay informed about industry trends, accounting standards and regulatory changes
- Mentor and coach junior staff members to foster their professional development
- Assist in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and satisfaction
- In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), generally accepted accounting standards (GAAS), and other relevant accounting and auditing standards
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills aligned with firm culture
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and adhere to budgets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business matters with discretion
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting
- CPA designation or progress towards obtaining CPA licensure preferred
- Experience working with non-profit organizations preferred but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), accounting software, and CCH Engagement Other
- Candidate must reside locally with the ability to work primarily in our Franklin, MA office at the time of onboarding
- After the initial training period (90 days), candidates have the ability to work remotely 2 days a week (if desired)
- Reliable transportation is required for client meetings and off-site fieldwork
