Lateral stands for technology excellence.
We’re a profitable, award-winning design and technology company with over 20 years of experience launching bold ventures and transforming businesses. A globally distributed team of 200+ experts united by a shared purpose: the continuous pursuit of quality.
Our clients come to us for results, quality and craft - and stay because we keep raising the bar.
We do things differently at LateralOur mission is simple:
design and build great products
. What makes us special isn’t just our talent, it’s also how we get work done:
We give a damn - about the work, the outcome, and the people we work with. That means showing up with integrity: thoughtful commits, thorough reviews, and helping a teammate even when it’s not “your job.”
We take ownershipEveryone leads something here. You will have room to run with ideas, and the trust to execute. That trust is built on how you show up: thinking things through, sweating the details, and following through.
We build with craftWe care about how things are made. We review thoroughly, test properly, and don’t compromise on fundamentals. We move fast because we build things right the first time.
We keep improvingWe believe the best teams are never done learning. We iterate, reflect on what’s working and what’s not, give direct feedback and stay open to change.
We have bias for actionWe are doers - we spot the gaps, connect the dots, anticipate what’s around the corner and take action.
What You’ll DoAs a Product Lead at Lateral, you will be responsible for turning business requirements into a clear, actionable product plan and ensuring the team delivers the right things in the right order. Your work will be hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and focused on driving outcomes.
You will:

- Translate those needs into a clear delivery plan
: what will be built, in what order, by whom, and when. - Define and maintain the product roadmap with precise sequencing of features, dependencies, and timelines.
- Work closely with Technical Project Managers (TPMs) to align on scope, priorities, handoffs, owners, and delivery expectations.
- Break down large ideas into clear, actionable pieces of work that engineers and designers can execute on without ambiguity.
- Make prioritization decisions based on business value, user impact, technical feasibility, capacity, and deadlines.
- Partner with clients to clarify user flows, edge cases, behavior, and required interactions, ensuring the product is understandable and usable.
- Partner with engineering to validate feasibility, adjust scope when needed, communicate tradeoffs, and keep delivery aligned and moving.
- Communicate clearly with all stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned on what is coming next, what is being worked on now, and what has changed.
- Review what ships, confirm it meets the intended need, gather feedback, and adjust future scope or sequencing accordingly.

You must bring:
- 5+ years of product management experience
, ideally across multiple projects or domains. - A proven ability to turn business requirements into clear product direction: what we will build, in what order, and why.
- Strong prioritization instincts - you can weigh value vs. effort, handle dependencies, and make tradeoffs that keep teams moving.
- Experience writing clear product requirements, breaking work down, and defining the details needed for engineering and design to execute.
- Strong collaboration skills with TPMs, architects, engineering - you understand their workflows and how to coordinate across them.
- A practical, user‑centered mindset: you think about how users experience the product, not just how it is built.
