Qualifications/Desired

Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with students with IEPs or learning differences
• Strong communication and advocacy skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt instruction for students at varied academic and developmental levels
• Familiarity with assessment tools and progress monitoring
• Comfortable with implementing behavioral and academic interventions

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique strengths and needs
• Deliver engaging lessons following curriculum standards, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes for reporting and IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success and inclusion
• Create positive, encouraging classroom environments focused on skill-building and growth
• Participate in professional development and training as required
