Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Cranston, RI
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Cranston, RI. This contract role offers hands-on experience in schools serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with individual RBTs assigned 1:1 in ASD classrooms. You'll be part of an important initiative, contributing to ESY (Extended School Year), CYS, and preparing for the upcoming NSY (New School Year).

Qualifications:

• Current RBT certification
• Previous experience working with children or students with ASD preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, with the ability to work independently
• Adaptable to changing school schedules and individual student needs
• Commitment to maintaining detailed behavioral documentation and data collection
• Passion for fostering development and growth in students

Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 with assigned students in ASD classrooms, providing consistent behavioral support
• Follow individualized student behavior intervention plans with fidelity
• Collect data on student progress and implement strategies as directed by school guidelines
• Collaborate with educational staff and communicate student progress and needs
• Support students during ESY (Monday-Thursday, 8am-12pm) and during the school year (35-40 hours/week)
• Engage creatively in both summer and academic-year programming
• Prepare for enhanced support and supervision with BCBA involvement commencing in the fall
