We are looking for a part‑time preschool teacher with a focus in art, 2–3 days per week (Monday, Thursday, and possibly Wednesday), from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This small nature‑based Montessori school is located in the center of Little Compton. Our students are ages 3‑5. The teacher will offer outdoor art experiences as well as ongoing indoor art projects. The role involves supporting children’s needs to help them become independent and confident.

• Plan and deliver art‑based lessons and activities in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Support children’s developmental and educational goals.
• Assist with daily classroom tasks such as set‑up, dishes, laundry, and end‑of‑day cleaning.
• Communicate with families daily and attend staff meetings as needed.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, nature‑connected environment.

• Must be over 18 and have a RI DHS background check and clearance.
• Experience working with children.
• Enjoy connecting children to nature in all weather.
• Strong communication skills with families.
