Civic Growth Interns at YIP contribute to the Institute's mission to foster cross-sector civic change among the youth population. The Center for Civic Growth serves as the hub for civic impact at the Institute, connecting current staff and fellows to the real world. Civic Growth Interns will be assigned to support alumni relations efforts, partnerships, and special projects.
Civic Growth Interns at YIP contribute to the Institute's mission to foster cross-sector civic change among the youth population. The Center for Civic Growth serves as the hub for civic impact at the Institute, connecting current staff and fellows to the real world. Civic Growth Interns will be assigned to support alumni relations efforts, partnerships, and special projects.
- Strong inter-personal skills and communication
- An ability to think critically about global problems and civic solutions
- An interest in one or more of the following focus areas:
Alumni Relations: tracking past staff and fellowship alumni, outreach, events, alumni boards, and alumni engagement
Special Projects: supporting fellows as they build out their Fellowship Capstone project under the YIP umbrella (providing feedback, logical support, and help with implementing their capstones in real life)
Partnerships: working within the Special Projects team to grow YIPs impact by connecting current projects and initiatives with outside organizations
