Applications Engineer

A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking an Applications Engineer / Inside Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team in Charlotte, NC. This role supports technical sales, customer applications, order processing, and hands‑on operational support across pumps, rotating equipment, and industrial mechanical systems. This is an office‑based, technical role ideal for someone who enjoys combining mechanical understanding with commercial coordination in a fast‑paced environment.

• Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 base

• Provide front‑line technical and application support for customer enquiries across pumps and rotating equipment.
• Assist in preparing accurate quotations and supporting internal and external sales teams.
• Support order processing, incoming/outgoing shipments, and inventory organisation.
• Assist with light mechanical assembly of equipment when required.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding project status, product information, and technical updates.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of rotating equipment questions.
• Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow.

• Experience or exposure to pumps, rotating equipment, motors, manufacturing, or mechanical systems preferred.
• Candidates with general mechanical or industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to interpret technical information and solve problems effectively.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varied daily tasks.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Competent with standard PC software (Outlook, Excel, CRM/ERP tools, etc.).
