General

Job Description

The BIM Coordination Specialist is responsible for facilitating trade coordination and BIM processes across construction projects. This role ensures alignment between all disciplines through model reviews, clash detection, and team collaboration. You’ll act as a bridge between general contractors, trades, and design teams, using VDC tools to solve real-world construction challenges before they happen on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multi-trade coordination efforts using Autodesk Navisworks, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, and/or Revizto
  • Facilitate and document weekly coordination meetings with all stakeholders
  • Perform clash detection and lead issue resolution through coordination models
  • Maintain and update federated models throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project goals
  • Provide support and technical guidance to trades and consultants on VDC processes
  • Track coordination issues using issue-tracking platforms like BIM 360 Issues or Revizto
  • Prepare and manage coordination logs, reports, and model documentation
  • Support constructability reviews and assist with field implementation as needed
  • Maintain organization of files, models, and communication in CTS’s project management platform (Click Up)
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of VDC/BIM coordination workflows and construction processes
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as BIM 360 Issues, Revizto, or similar platforms
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and understand architectural, structural, and MEP systems
  • Familiarity with construction schedules, sequencing, and logistics
  • 3+ years of coordination or BIM experience in the AEC industry
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • AGC Certificate of Management – BIM (CM-BIM) is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
