Insight Global is seeking a Substation Engineer for a top renewables client. Role is fully remote.

Must Haves:

• 5-15 years of experience working with substations; planning, designing, and executing large-scale energy projects, including solar, BESS, wind, and hydrogen systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required;
  Professional Engineering (PE) certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• All assigned substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through construction and commissioning (Execution).
• In the conceptual phase, you will work with the Early-Stage Project Manager to support the engineering requirements and scope with the Development Group.
• Provides high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiates technical and regulatory requirements, and influences executive-level project decisions. Leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensures compliance with industry standards, and optimizes technical designs for energy infrastructure. Acts as the technical authority on engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements. Provides high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management. Works closely with customer leadership to guide engineering strategies, solve complex challenges, and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience.
