** Position Overview
** This person will join a five-person team and report to the Director & Controller, Fund Accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and is flexible to take on whatever task is needed.
** Responsibilities
* * The Associate, Fund Accounting will be responsible for the following:
* Prepare bank reconciliations
* Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
* Assist with weekly cash activity reporting
* Prepare and track Fund capital calls and distributions
* Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements
* Interact and coordinate with auditors as needed
* Respond to ad-hoc limited partner requests
* Prepare wire transfers
* Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as necessary
* Miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed appropriate and needed within the finance team
** Qualifications
* * The successful candidate will have an exceptional track record and reputation. Given the significant responsibilities of this position, the top candidate will be a mature, experienced individual. In addition, the successful candidate should have:
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required, preferably within a Big 4 public accounting environment
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
* CPA or working towards CPA strongly preferred
* Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience with Workday and Investran a plus, but not required
* Meticulous attention to detail and high level of conscientiousness to work product
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
