Our Senior Financial Planning Analysts revel in the day-to-day details and data analysis to create stellar financial plans for our client advisors. If you are an experienced Financial Planning Analyst and enjoy detailed project work, developing plans from the beginning of data collection to data analysis and ending with accurate and clear financial recommendations we want to talk to you. This is a great opportunity for CFP candidates seeking meaningful work to fulfil the CFP experience requirement.

Data Gathering and Organization
- Assist advisors in collecting client data
- Gather and organize data Identify missing data
Data Entry and Analysis
- Enter data into financial planning software
- Check data entry via self-audit
- Perform preliminary case analysis
Deliverable Creation
- Create financial planning deliverable per advisor specifications
- Work with advisor to identify strategies
- Prepare preliminary client recommendations for advisor
- Edit final document to make it a client-friendly, professional deliverable
Other
- Self-directed workflow
- Perform other financial analysis as requested by advisors
Must haves
- 3-5 years’ experience in a financial advisory firm as a financial plan writer or financial planning specialist.
- Ameriprise experience a plus.
- 3-5 years’ experience with financial planning software.
- To qualify for this position, you must have at least 3 years’ experience writing plans with Navi Plan, Money Guide, or eMoney.
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and desire to learn
- An interest in financial planning and investment management
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and the ability to learn financial planning software
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations required by advisors, Ameriprise Financial, and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulation Authority)
- High School Diploma, or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 to 75,000 per year plus bonus opportunity
