Residential Director Overview:

The Residential Director will follow through on recommendations of Administrators and Consultants, organizational skills of development of schedules, filing, ordering supplies, inventory, management of petty cash, supervisory skills, communication skills, program development skills of writing goals, objectives, setting up teaching programs, analyses of data, and good observation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Demonstrates respect and a caring attitude toward clients
- Maintains confidentiality of clients and programs
- Communicates pertinent information on clients' needs and programs to team members
- Works cooperatively with all team members and follows through on recommendations
- Exhibits professional demeanor in language, dress and behavior
- Supervises staff, including observing staff work and giving verbal and written feedback (e.g., staff evaluations, observational feedback, handling staff grievances, approving staff vacations, holidays, sick and personal time requests
- Participates in completing the ISP process, preparing for and facilitating the meeting
- Writes annual progress report, and collects progress reports of other professionals
- Implements teaching programs from goals and objectives and develops system for collecting data and monitoring progress for each area.
- Displays consistency in implementing behavioral procedures as described in the IDFs
- Associates Degree in Human Services field
- Forty (40) hours per week 8am-4pm shift, including every other weekend, availability by telephone or beeper during non-work hours.
- Two years working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
- Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offense
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
