The Middleware Cloud Services Engineer will be a hands-on technical engineer responsible for software development, R&D, and operations supporting the Enterprise Integration Platform will face a wide array of technical challenges that greatly impact our business. This team works closely with the Cloud Transformation Organization, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Engineering, and Operations to deliver next-generation capabilities in a stable, software-defined ecosystem for Bank and its customers.
The role involves designing, evolving, implementing, and supporting the cloud transformation Enterprise Integration Platform across diverse data centers and cloud providers, ensuring high availability, automation, and cost-effectiveness to meet resiliency, performance, security, and disaster recovery needs.
The engineer will serve as a point of escalation for operational issues and critical events related to the platform, train staff, develop SOPs, and write knowledge articles. They will contribute to automation strategies to improve policy-driven operations following industry best practices and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's Degree required;
Graduate degree preferred.
• Senior industry certifications in WSO2 desired.
• At least 8 years of experience with large-scale, mission-critical platforms.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter with teamwork and customer service skills.
• Experience with Scrum and Atlassian tools preferred.
Required Skills:
• Deep knowledge of WSO2 API Manager and related components.
• Experience with WSO2 API Gateway, Control Plane, Traffic Manager, and Key Manager configuration.
• Ability to perform performance testing and troubleshooting of WSO2 components.
• Knowledge of WSO2 internals, data storage, deployment models, and data management.
• Ability to develop custom extensions and integrate with Ping IDP, OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
• Experience with Open Tracing, Dynatrace, and Micro-Integrator.
• Familiarity with Open Shift, Kubernetes, Splunk, and cloud services like AWS.
• Mentoring skills and experience with Spring Boot, Java, Microservices, Docker, REST, SOAP, Postgres, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms.
