Position Summary
The Applications Analyst II is a business specialist and technology generalist responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies. The role proactively identifies opportunities to apply technologies to business processes by advising customers on information system capabilities, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements.

Remote – local; occasional travel to BMC sites in the greater Boston area may be required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas:
- Business systems analysis across multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Business unit experience working closely with IT on system development and implementation.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable business language.
- Understanding of project management concepts for planning and implementing cross‑functional projects.
- Strong written communication skills, including project documentation and technical writing.
- Strong verbal communication skills when interacting with team members, other IT teams, end users, and other departments.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a track record of developing new concepts for projects and technical plans.
- Ability to solve problems spanning multiple business environments.
- Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes.
- Team‑player mindset; flexible, friendly, congenial, and enthusiastic.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Upon hiring, completion of Epic’s proficiency program within 90 days.
- Business process re‑engineering or process improvement experience using broad‐based information systems and tools.
- Strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business.
- Project organization, planning, and execution from vision to implementation involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of inpatient nursing and ancillary service clinical workflows.
- Experience with labor and delivery workflow systems, including the GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) application.
- EHR device integration middleware implementation or maintenance, with HL7 knowledge.
Base salary range: $71,500.00 – $, for candidates meeting minimum qualifications.
