AWS Systems Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced AWS Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. You’ll work closely with development and security teams to ensure our AWS environment is scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient.

• Architect, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, Cloud Front, etc.)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or Git Hub Actions
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or CDK
• Monitor system health, performance, and cost using Cloud Watch, Datadog, or similar tools
• Enforce security best practices — IAM policies, KMS, Guard Duty, security groups, and compliance frameworks
• Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and incident response
• Collaborate with developers to optimize application deployments and container orchestration
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and architectural improvements

• 3–5+ years of hands‑on AWS experience
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Sys Ops, or Dev Ops Engineer — Associate or Professional)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or Power Shell)
• Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform preferred)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPN, routing)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS)

• Experience with multi‑account AWS Organizations and landing zones
• Familiarity with Fin Ops / cloud cost optimization practices
• Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Open Telemetry)
