Claims Technician

• Initiate, direct, and control activities supporting case management and the claims process
• Complete assigned daily claims support activities as a primary or backup role
• Maintain understanding of departmental standards, systems, workflows, reports, forms, products, and related information
• Analyze business environment implications, including processes and technology, and provide advice within area of expertise
• Influence workflow and service-standard decisions within the team to achieve Markel goals
• Identify and communicate process enhancement opportunities to management
• Assist the Claims organization with other responsibilities as requested by management

• Understanding of departmental service standards and guidelines, systems, workflows, reports, forms, products, and other information needed to complete work assignments

• Ability to stay abreast of operational procedure changes
• Ability to identify and communicate process enhancement opportunities
• Ability to work with moderate guidance
