Description
Leidos has a direct placement for a Leidos Airport Site Lead to provide technical, and project management support to the Security Equipment Deployment Services (SEDS) for the TSA Deployment and Sustainment Division (DSD).
This position encompasses the full project lifecycle management as the site lead / project manager. The position involves site surveys/validations, risk identification and mitigation, coordination, communication, report development, drawing review/comment, construction management/oversight, schedule development and tracking, applying for and closing out local/state construction permits, subcontractor oversight, installation oversight, test witness, and project sell-off/close-out of security systems related to the checkpoint equipment deployments at federalized airports throughout United States.
The position will support the TSA SEDS program to maintain, upgrade, and move the established airport security system to the next generation of capability.
- Site Leads are the technical liaison for the TSA Deployment and Sustainment Division (DSD) Checkpoint Deployment Coordinators throughout the lifecycle of each project and shall be familiar with all checkpoint systems at all assigned airports.
- Site Leads:
- Provide project planning, coordination and technical advice to facilitate checkpoint security screening equipment installations, removals, and relocations.
- As required to obtain and maintain, for the life of the project, an airport badge with escort privileges for each airport within their responsibility.
- Keep the CP DC informed on project progress and issues to avoid negative impacts to schedule, cost, and/or performance.
- Inform the CP DC and the TSA Design Team of any new airport/airline projects. As directed by the CP DC, shall be required to conduct site surveys of potential projects.
Pre-deployment
- Coordinate, monitor and report project schedule activities and execution between stakeholders.
- Attend internal and external TSA meetings, as required.
- Coordinate and attend meetings between project stakeholders to include IPT calls. Contractor shall provide deployment activity summary prior to meeting.
- Assess progress against the project schedule and report any variances that may create risk to schedule, cost, or performance of the project’s critical path.
- Track project activities related to installation of checkpoint security screening equipment to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment to the site.
- Coordinate shipments of screening equipment with peripherals and FF&E with all project stakeholders.
- In the event of a checkpoint relocation, evaluate existing FF&E to determine what FF&E can be moved and what additional FF&E is required in the new checkpoint. Coordinate with DCs to ensure accurate accounting of FF&E in associated ReMAGs.
- Ensure the following:
- Equipment Request order forms (ReMAG) are created or updated once project scope is finalized.
- DD-1149 forms are completed and provided to the APM or other TSA Property point of contact (POC).
- The Contractor shall submit a Test Readiness Notification (TRN) to the CP DC 10 days prior to testing. Federal POC (DC, COR, etc.) must submit TRN to ATSA. TRN requests should include read receipts and all necessary SEDS, DSD, Program Executive Office (PEO), and OEM stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Local TSA, TSA HQ, and other site POCs leading up to the equipment delivery date to ensure proper equipment handling, in accordance with OEM guidelines and industry best practices, delivery, badging, permitting, and storage of screening equipment and peripherals.
- Provide a detailed hourly schedule for each day of deployment at least two weeks prior to onsite work.
- Provide on-site support during the delivery and removal of screening equipment.
- Provide pictures of before and after checkpoint deployment within five business days of completion. Pictures should be loaded in TSA iShare repository.
