Clean and sanitize production department and production equipment following SSOPs. Perform routine cleaning as per Master Cleaning Schedule. Ensure all activities align with Finlays mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize production line fillers, tanks, kettles, pumps, and product hoses as outlined in SSOPs.
- Perform routine building cleaning as per Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Complete required documentation paperwork.
- Assist with Pallet Cleaning Program.
- Follow GMP and food safety practices.
- Maintain inventory of sanitizing chemicals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to schedule.
- Meet health and safety standards.
- Report safety and inspection results.
- Knowledge of food plant sanitizing or related services.
- English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Quality and safety conscience.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Team player with positive attitude, able to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Two years of food plant sanitizing or related janitorial services.
- Ability to work beyond regular hours during peak periods or critical operations.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills.
- Stand and walk for extended periods; perform pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and detailed manual tasks.
- Operate pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and cleaning equipment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently; heavier items with proper equipment or team assistance.
Dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise, temperature and ventilation fluctuations, and inclement weather. Must wear PPE: safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, face shields as required.
Quality Statement- Follow GMPs, allergen control, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Document visitors, contractors, and customers.
- Report all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Collaborate with colleagues across functions.
- Adhere to health and safety practices.
- Understand and communicate Finlays quality and food safety system.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs.
