Manufacturing / Production
We are partnering with a growing manufacturing business that designs and builds custom products used by some of the most recognizable brands in retail, grocery, restaurant, convenience store, and food service environments.
This is a hands‑on Buyer / Senior Buyer opportunity for someone who enjoys working close to production, solving real‑time supply chain challenges, negotiating with vendors, and helping a manufacturing operation run smoothly.
This is not a corporate desk‑only purchasing role. You’ll be part of a plant‑driven environment where your work directly impacts production schedules, material availability, cost control, customer delivery, and overall operational execution.
About the CompanyThis company is part of a larger publicly traded manufacturing platform with a strong national presence across commercial displays, fixtures, lighting, graphics, and branded retail environments.
The business supports major customers across industries like convenience stores, grocery, restaurants, and national retail. Their teams design, engineer, manufacture, and deliver custom products that show up in real‑world commercial environments every day.
This is a strong opportunity to join a stable, well‑established manufacturer with the backing, resources, and growth platform of a larger parent company.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll support purchasing and procurement activity across a manufacturing operation. You’ll work closely with operations, accounting, shipping, inventory, and suppliers to make sure materials are sourced, purchased, tracked, and delivered on time.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Issuing and managing purchase orders, change orders, and related purchasing documentation
- Requesting and comparing supplier quotes through RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
- Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors
- Tracking material deliveries and helping resolve shipping, freight, customs, or logistics issues
- Supporting invoice reconciliation and resolving discrepancies with accounting
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system
- Monitoring supplier performance and helping resolve vendor‑related issues
- Supporting inventory reconciliation, material planning, and procurement reporting
- Preparing spend analysis, market research, and supplier evaluation reports
- Helping production teams get the materials they need to meet customer and manufacturing deadlines
In a custom manufacturing environment, purchasing has a direct impact on production flow, cost, margin, and customer delivery.
When the right materials arrive on time, production runs better. When suppliers miss deadlines, pricing changes, or inventory data is inaccurate, the entire operation feels it.
This role is important because you’ll help keep the business moving. You’ll be a key connection point between vendors, plant operations, accounting, logistics, and production teams.
For someone who likes accountability, follow‑through, and seeing the real‑world impact of their work, this is a great fit.
