Machine Setup & Operation
CNC Operation:
Set up and run hydraulic, CNC-controlled press brakes (specifically Accurpress machinery) with minimal supervision.
Tool Management:
Select, load, and align correct tooling (such as V-dies and gooseneck dies) based on engineering specs.
Fabrication Support:
Cross-train to assist with related shop machinery like shears and punches when needed.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering layouts.
Precision Inspection:
Use standard measuring tools to perform first-part and in-process quality checks against specs.
Data Logging:
Track production time and log completed work into the online shop data system.
Physical Requirements
Material Handling:
Safely operate a forklift to move raw metal sheets and finished parts.
Physical Demands:
Stand for long shifts and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Safety & Upkeep:
Comply with OSHA regulations, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation.
Experience:
Strong background in sheet metal fabrication; 3 years of custom manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills:
Solid understanding of shop math/geometry and specific experience with Accurpress brake systems.
