EDM Specialist (Position)

Primary Flow Signal is seeking a skilled and experienced EDM Specialist with strong capability in Wire EDM programming, setup, and operation. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Sinker / Ram EDM, including complex electrode work, orbiting strategies, and precision finishing requirements. This is a position for a seasoned EDM professional who can work independently on complex parts, tight tolerances, and challenging geometries.

Position Responsibilities:

• Program, setup, and operate Wire EDM equipment.
• Program and setup complex Wire EDM jobs involving precision profiles, tight tolerances, fine surface finishes, and complex part geometry.
• Work independently from drawings, models, and specifications.
• Develop practical machining strategies for complex EDM applications.
• Perform setups, prove-outs, offsets, inspection checks, and process adjustments.
• Support Sinker / Ram EDM work, including electrode setup, burn strategy, and complex orbit patterns.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy, finish requirements, and repeatable EDM processes.
• Communicate clearly with engineering, programming, inspection, and production personnel.

Skills &

Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of EDM experience required.
• Strong Wire EDM programming and setup experience required.
• Ability to work independently on complex precision components.
• Experience holding tight tolerances and achieving specified surface finishes.
• Experience with Sinker / Ram EDM strongly preferred.
• Experience with complex orbit patterns, electrode work, and precision burn strategies preferred.
• Toolmaker, die maker, mold maker, or high-precision machining background is ideal.
