Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 1:1 School-Based Assignment

Position Overview Seek a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, school-based 1:1 assignment supporting a medically complex kindergarten student throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. This role involves providing direct nursing care, medication administration, mobility assistance, and ongoing health support to ensure the student's safety and success in the educational environment.

  Monday–Friday, 8:50 AM–3:35 PM
• Hours:
  
  30 hours per week
• Student Population:
  Kindergarten-aged student requiring dedicated 1:1 nursing support

• Administer daily medications and treatments as prescribed
• Manage daily G-tube feedings
• Monitor and respond to seizure-related emergencies, including emergency medication administration
• Assist with toileting and safe transfers from a wheelchair
• Rotate AFO splints according to care plan requirements
• Support hearing aid management and maintenance
• Provide first aid and nursing care as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation
• Follow established healthcare plans and safety protocols
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
• Assist with other student medical needs within the building if the assigned student is absent

• Active LPN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric, special needs, medically fragile, or school-aged populations preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families
• Dependable attendance is essential
