Restaurant General Manager. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/A. POSITION STATUS:
This is a part-time position.

About

The Position

The goal of the Server (Hospitality Specialist) is to create a place of welcome for all guests, provide informed, knowledgeable and timely food and beverage service, while maintaining a safe, clean and tidy setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time, in proper attire, with a smile, as all three are required to achieve our goal of legendary guest hospitality and service experience.
  • Obtain daily directives by reviewing section schedule, running side duties and daily pre-shift briefings.
  • Head to assigned section and take account to ensure order, tidiness and all required details are in place.
  • Provide a Welcome Greeting to guests that is sincere and unique to T’s, ensuring guests feel at home and comfortable at the start of their experience. Welcome all guests entering the building with a smile and a hello.
  • Introduce guests to T’s and to you as the guide to the guest experience.
  • Provide knowledgeable, informed beverage and food service selections.
  • Be able to answer questions regarding food and beverage items, allergy protocol, and history.
  • Acquire food and beverage selections and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Serve beverages with a tray (preferred) and food in a timely manner.
  • Maintain guest safety by keeping the restaurant clean and tidy and perform side duties at the start and end of each shift following service station overviews and managerial guidance.
  • Observe the guest dining throughout the entire experience with check-backs.
  • Support teammates and guests throughout the day to ensure all guests feel welcome.
  • Provide a grateful finale: thank guests, prepare and present final check, accept payment, and process credit card charges or make change as applicable (never at the table).
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant team leader/manager.

Qualifications
  • A desire to provide genuine hospitality and care for people.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to handle money.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Point of Sale system ability.
  • Available for a minimum of three shifts per week.
  • Able to safely lift and maneuver multiple food plates.
Requirements About You Education And Experience
  • High school diploma with a continuous record of learning.
  • Minimal 2 years of service experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Ability to Speak, Read and Write English.
  • Serve Safe Alcohol Certification.

  • Strong guest service skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to coordinate, multitask and remain composed.
Physical Settings & Schedule
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (flexible scheduling). Must be available for a minimum of three shifts including a weekend shift.
  • Must be able to work year-round as this is not a seasonal position.
  • Be able to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
