Senior Client Solutions Executive – Next Gear (Cox Automotive)
Full‑time, outside sales position covering Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts, and Eastern Connecticut. Candidate must live in the specified region (preferably greater Providence, RI or Hartford, CT). Travel required 50% of the time.
Job OverviewResponsible for developing new business and maintaining relationships within the assigned territory. Drive new applications, loan development, and sales of Next Gear Capital’s products and ancillary services.
CompensationBase salary range: $64,900.00 – $97,300.00 (variable by location and experience). Eligible for annual incentive/commission target of $45,000.00.
Responsibilities- Educate customers on all Next Gear Capital products and services, including inventory financing (floorplan) and ancillary products.
- Gain general knowledge of Cox Automotive products to make tailored recommendations.
- Develop an aggressive sales plan within the defined market.
- Build a prospect list through effective cold calling, lead follow‑up, and referrals.
- Conduct weekly cold calls to solicit new relationships.
- Follow up on all leads provided daily with a sense of urgency.
- Increase loan volume and utilization through service calls to existing customers.
- Visit inactive dealers to re‑engage clients and increase usage of their Line of Credit (LOC).
- Achieve target levels of new applications, loan development, and new business monthly.
- Perform initial underwriting of potential customers prior to accepting applications.
- Monitor applications through the credit process.
- Contract and orient new customers.
- Manage customer experience and engagement during the first six months of the dealer lifecycle.
- Achieve enrollment and sales targets for Ancillary Products and Services.
- Maintain strong relationships with Next Gear Capital Portfolio Managers.
- Conduct monthly non‑sale day visits with assigned auction General Managers.
- Expand business opportunities at auctions by building relationships with staff and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and minimum 4 years of related experience; alternative combinations include master’s with 2 years, PhD with 1 year, or 8 years experience.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Preferred: 5 years of outside sales and portfolio management experience.
- 3+ years experience in finance or auto industry.
- Sales management skills (lead development, contract customers, portfolio growth).
- Comfortable in high‑pressure, results‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to learn company operating and reporting systems plus Microsoft Sales Force .
Candidate must clear a pre‑employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not administer a marijuana drug test for this position; workplace is drug‑free.
