Role DescriptionThe Licensed HVAC/R Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Cranston, RI. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems for commercial and residential clients, as well as performing diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify system issues. The technician will complete scheduled preventive maintenance, respond to service calls, and ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and company standards.
The role also involves accurate documentation of work performed, clear communication with clients and team members, and coordination with electricians and other trades as needed. The technician is expected to uphold the company’s commitment to quality, reliability, and client-focused service.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, including skills in Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance.
- Hands-on technical skills in Electricity and Plumbing relevant to HVAC/R systems.
- Current EPA certification and knowledge of applicable codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Valid HVAC/R license for work in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts and a clean, valid driver’s license.
- Experience with commercial and residential HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems, including installation, service, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to maintain accurate service records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and coworkers.
- Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting equipment, working in varied environments, and using power tools safely.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and stay current with industry best practices and new technologies.
