Position Overview

Walnut Elementary is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Lead Instructor to guide our 3-year-old classroom at Little Mountie Preschool.

In this role, you will help design a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment where our youngest learners can explore, grow, and build essential social, emotional, and foundational academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Classroom Leadership:
Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum and daily routines for 3-year-old students.

* Student Development:
Foster social-emotional growth, language development, fine/gross motor skills, and early literacy/math concepts.

* Classroom Management:
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

* Collaboration & Supervision:
Lead and collaborate with classroom assistants/paraprofessionals to ensure a well-supported environment.

* Family Engagement:
Build strong relationships with families through regular updates, daily communication, and parent-teacher conferences.

* All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required

* Credentials:
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred but not required.

* Experience:

Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a structured childcare or classroom setting is highly valued.

* Skills:

High energy, immense patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for early childhood education.
