Job Summary
Acute Brands is seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at our Indiana Production Facility (IPF) in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This role is responsible for supervising hourly employees, driving safety, quality, and productivity initiatives, and ensuring production goals are achieved in accordance with Lean manufacturing principles and customer requirements. The Production Supervisor will play a key role in workforce planning, employee development, continuous improvement initiatives, and day‑to‑day operational execution.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise 20–30 hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance through adherence to Lean principles and standard work practices.
- Determine daily staffing levels and assign work based on production schedules and fluctuations in demand.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to achieve production targets.
- Approve payroll and manage attendance, disciplinary actions, and employee performance issues as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and Kaizen events.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Provide leadership during scheduled shifts, including weekends and periods without additional management support.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-volume production setting.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading production teams.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and exposure to Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Proficient with computer systems and standard business software.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and weekend schedules as business needs require.
- This is a permanent night shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
