POSITION: Spray-Cooled Shop Foreman
LOCATION: Crawfordsville, IN
Pay: Up to $45/Hour
The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Shop Foreman. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Foreman Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8+ welders/fabricators rebuilding heavy industrial equipment
- Work directly to train introductory personnel to excel at their craft.
- Coordinate with customers for equipment tracking, rebuild schedules, and change out dates
- Track supply and material inventory
- Ensure team members are following safe work practices while keeping shop in safe working condition
- Document Daily progress
- Monitor completed work for quality standards
- Conduct equipment inspections before releasing equipment back into service

Shop Foreman Skills- Must be prepared to handle emergency repairs
- Ability to read drawings
- Must be able to multi-task – oversee multiple projects at one time
- Must be able to effectively communicate with the shop employees to assure that the shop runs as efficiently as possible
- Knowledge of MIG/Fluxcore structural welding required
- Knowledge of Air Carbon – Arc Gouging (CAC-A), Oxy/Gas cutting, and grinding operations
- Minimum 4 years of Supervisory Experience
- Several years of experience in a fabrication shop is required
- OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided)
- Must be able to weld and pass qualification test coupons during the pre-employment test
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
