Build Recruitment is working closely with a respected and well-established Housing Association to recruit an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trader to join their reactive maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term stability, a supportive employer, and consistent work within social housing.

You will be carrying out a variety of plumbing and multi-trade repairs within void and tenanted social housing properties across Crawley, Horsham, Croydon, and the surrounding South London areas. This temp-to-perm role offers genuine progression and job security.

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations in void and occupied social housing properties
• Diagnose and complete reactive repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Work on disrepair cases, ensuring all work meets compliance and safety standards
• Undertake basic multi-trade tasks (e.g. carpentry, minor plastering, tiling, patch repairs) where required
• Deliver high-quality customer service to residents, ensuring clear communication and professionalism
• Maintain timely and accurate job records using handheld devices
• Adhere to all health & safety guidelines and property maintenance procedures

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi-Trader within social housing or property maintenance
• Experience handling complex repairs or disrepair cases (desirable)
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and deliver first-time fixes
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Company van fuel card provided
• Long-term stability with temp-to-perm opportunity
• Additional pay for out-of-hours rota (1 week in
  8)
