American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5 years of ER experience and Trauma Level II experience.

• , Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM or 9:00 AM-10:30 PM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active RN license (CA State License) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum of 5 years of ER nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Skilled in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience administering emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions, PPE use, and triage protocols
• Must provide 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year

• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of acute and critical patient presentations
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
• Former employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage required for one assigned holiday per contract (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
