American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with Trauma Level II experience for a night shift travel assignment requiring a CA RN license.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:30-7:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 5 years of ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
- Proficient in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and central line care/management
- Experience administering emergency medications, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors
- Skilled in procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and emergency response
- Knowledgeable in isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critically ill patients
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for the local rate
- Returning travelers must have a one-year separation before returning to this facility
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
