Travel to Crescent City, California for a rewarding Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse opportunity in a supportive Family Birth Center. This California RN travel job offers hands-on experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a rural LDRP hospital setting with scenic coastal living and a team-oriented culture.

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,510-$2,640
• Start Date: 09/28/2026
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Floating/Call: Occasional based on census
• Location: Crescent City, CA — a coastal Northern California community known for redwood forests, ocean views, and outdoor adventure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current ACLS
  , BLS
  , NRP
  , and fetal monitoring certification/credentialing as applicable
• Strong experience with labor, postpartum, and newborn care
• Ability to manage a variety of obstetrical and newborn scenarios with confidence
• Experience with charting systems preferred
  
  Ability to provide 2 professional references from the last year
• Reliable compliance with onboarding and credentialing timelines

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recoveries, and high-risk obstetrical situations
• Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform newborn assessments, stabilization, and support for transition after birth
• Assist with procedures such as fetal monitoring, cervical exams, IUPC/FSE support, and circumcision care
• Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, pitocin, and other obstetrical interventions as ordered
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote excellent outcomes
