Travel to Crescent City, California for a rewarding Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse opportunity in a supportive Family Birth Center. This California RN travel job offers hands-on experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a rural LDRP hospital setting with scenic coastal living and a team-oriented culture.

- Location: Crescent City, CA — a coastal Northern California community known for redwood forests, ocean views, and outdoor adventure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS
, BLS
, NRP
, and fetal monitoring certification/credentialing as applicable - Strong experience with labor, postpartum, and newborn care
- Ability to manage a variety of obstetrical and newborn scenarios with confidence
- Experience with charting systems preferred
Ability to provide 2 professional references from the last year - Reliable compliance with onboarding and credentialing timelines
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recoveries, and high-risk obstetrical situations
- Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Perform newborn assessments, stabilization, and support for transition after birth
- Assist with procedures such as fetal monitoring, cervical exams, IUPC/FSE support, and circumcision care
- Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, pitocin, and other obstetrical interventions as ordered
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote excellent outcomes
