LUNCHROOM/RECESS MONITOR QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate, or equivalent
  • Physical health that will allow them to complete their duties
  • Prior experience working with students preferred
  • Such alternates to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable
    • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regular and punctual attendance to perform duties. Absences only for personal illness, family emergencies, civic duty, or pre‑arranged days off with supervisor approval, pursuant to Richland School Policy
  • Dress professionally
  • Work calendar shall be the number of days equal to that lunch is served to students, with any additional work as approved by the Food Services Coordinator
  • Workday shall be 3 hours as assigned by the Food Services Coordinator
  • Work under the direction of the building Principals, and/or Food Services Coordinator
  • Be able to relate to students and be skilled in student management in lunchroom, recess, classroom, etc.
  • Supervises students in classrooms, lunchrooms, hallways, recess areas, etc. as assigned
  • Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates student, personnel, and school business
  • Maintain classroom/lunchroom/building supervision in an orderly fashion
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace – assisting with cleaning duties as required each day
  • Assist with serving of lunch/milk as needed
  • Work in a collaborative fashion with other staff members
  • Professional demeanor through communication with colleagues, supervisors, students, and staff
  • Refrain from comments, actions, etc. which would distract from a friendly work environment
  • Provide timely communication with direct supervisors
  • Refrain from personal telephone conversations and cell phone use within the workday
  • Other duties as assigned by administration
    • Pay Rate

    172 Day:

    August 2025 – May 2026

    3 Hours Per Day:
    Schedule to be set by Food Services Coordinator

    Pay Information

    Position Starts at $15/hr.

    Benefits

    This is a part‑time position @ 3 hours per day. Does not qualify for benefits.
