Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated individual to interview individuals in custody regarding time calculation. This position will serve as working supervisor, verify time and recalculate release dates, and process and complete releases of individuals in custody. In addition, this position reviews master files for release, and assists other Record Office staff. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve in the role and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Essential

Functions
  • Interviews individuals in custody regarding time calculations of Earned Discretionary Sentence Credits, county jail credits, and probation time credits.
  • Serves as working supervisor.
  • Verifies time and recalculates release dates.
  • Processes and completes releases of individuals in custody.
  • Reviews master files for release.
  • Assists other Record Office staff in performance of duties.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
  • Requires one (1) year clerical supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefers at least three (3) years of working experience performing interviews.
  • Prefers at least three (3) years of working experience performing time calculations.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of working experience serving in a supervisory capacity.
  • Prefers at least three (3) years of experience working in an office setting.
  • Prefers at least three (3) years of experience performing detail-oriented office work such as verifying dates, and time calculations.
  • Prefers at least three (3) years of experience reviewing and maintaining files.
