The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring sanitation is compliant with company standards and policies.
Responsibilities- Always use Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Understand and take directions.
- Work flexible hours and overtime as required.
- Follow company policies.
- Lift up to 100 lbs.
- Work in wet and dusty conditions.
- Be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Follow work instructions while cleaning equipment.
- Use chemicals safely (follow chemical instructions).
- Clean all areas of the plant, including restrooms.
- Clean all types of equipment; report equipment needing repair.
- Clean and put away all equipment used, e.g., mop buckets.
- Keep all personal protective equipment clean and stored properly after each use.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality; follow established work schedule.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co‑workers, management, and internal applicable parties.
- Report incidents of harassment to Team Leader, Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
- Take direction and follow instructions.
- Work safely at all times and report unsafe conditions or injuries to Supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to understand and take directions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Can work independently.
- Willingness to learn new methods and procedures.
- Trunk Strength – Abdominal and lower back muscle support.
- Extension Flexibility – Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
- Manual Dexterity – Quick hand/arm movement to manipulate objects.
- Oral Comprehension – Understand spoken information.
- Static Strength – Maximum muscle force for lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying.
- Near Vision – Ability to see details at close range.
- Oral Expression – Communicate information clearly in speaking.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate: $21.63 – $21.63 (may vary based on experience, skills, shift differential, and location).
