As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians as they grow in their roles.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment (MHE) – belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.
• Maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility
• Track and store department inventory
• Move up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Travel up to 20% of the time if required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays
• At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment
• At least 2 years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures

• Associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field from a vocational school or college
• At least 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
• At least 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
• At least 1 year of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles
• Experience with MHE safety standards, OEM requirements, and workplace safety regulations
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions

• Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long hours
• Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts
• Working at heights as required
• Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100 pounds
• Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts and working in cramped positions behind machinery
