Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

Repair and maintain all machinery, mechanical equipment and electromechanical devices and systems throughout the facility. Makes daily rounds checking on predetermined temperatures and pressure gauges and the overall condition of all mechanical equipment.

• Maintain and repair steam generation/distribution systems and ancillary equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment and appliances, lighting, and power distribution systems
• Maintain minor repairs to emergency generator and ancillary equipment
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and ancillary equipment
• Perform basic painting, plastering and concrete work
• Maintenance and repair of basic carpentry and minor construction
• Maintenance and repair of basic plumbing systems, install basic fixtures
• Use and maintain common hand and power tools
• Perform routine maintenance of medical center grounds
• Drive light truck to make pick ups and deliveries in local area
• Clean work areas, including mechanical rooms and shop
• Understands and observes all medical center procedures and safety precautions relating to the proper handling, shipping, and disposal of sharps and hazardous materials

• Certified in plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC or associated trade experience preferred
