The Creston Valley Golf Club is known as one of the finest competitive venues in golf and has carried a storied history since its inception in 1954. It is surrounded by farmlands and forest. Professionally designed and immaculately maintained, this wonderful facility is playable from a number of tees ranging from 5300 to 6500 yards, but don’t let the length fool you, the club has hosted five of the most prestigious BC golf championships.
The Creston golf course offers a very enjoyable and challenging test of your skills!
This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail management, hospitality, and golf course operations. The Golf Shop Manager plays a key role in delivering an exceptional member and guest experience, managing POS systems, supporting tournaments and events, scheduling & supervising staff and volunteers throughout the golf season.
Responsibilities Golf Shop & Retail Operations- Manage daily Golf Shop operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Process sales, memberships, and green fees using the POS system
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, pricing, and merchandising
- Maintain organized, attractive retail displays
- Advertising and Promotion
- Manage tee time bookings, walk-ins, and tee sheet management
- Support smooth pace of play and positive on-course flow
- Act as the primary point of contact for daily play inquiries
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to members and guests
- Promote memberships, leagues, events, and merchandise
- Assist & develop Men’s & Ladies League
- Assist & Develop Junior Golf Program
- Address member and customer questions and concerns in a positive, timely professional manner
- Schedule, train, and supervise Golf Shop staff and volunteers
- Ensure adequate coverage during operating hours, tournaments, and events
- Foster a welcoming, team-oriented work environment
- Handle cash management, POS reports, and daily reconciliation
- Support seasonal planning, sales tracking, and basic reporting
- Follow established financial controls and procedures
- Organize & promote Tournaments, leagues, and special events
- Support registration, scoring coordination, and prize distribution
- Experience in golf shop operations, retail management, or hospitality preferred
- LPGA / PGA Class A credentials an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications
- Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and pace of play
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Availability to work weekends and holidays during the golf season
Compensation: $4,500.00-$5,500.00 per Month
