WAREHOUSE

ASSOCIATE / MATERIAL HANDLER

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through the safe and efficient receiving, inspection, storage, movement, and inventory management of materials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to support production while maintaining accurate inventory records and an organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to perform physical work in a fast-paced environment.

This position is elidable for per-diem.

QUALIFICATIONS Required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3-5 years of previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete inventory documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, purchase orders, and packing slips.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
  • Identify and report damaged or missing materials.
  • Accurately document and process received materials in inventory systems.
  • Safely transport materials throughout warehouse and production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, and store materials in designated locations.
  • Ensure materials are handled in accordance with company safety procedures and product requirements.
Inventory Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through timely transactions and documentation.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment activities.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Warehouse Organization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Properly label and store inventory to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
  • Follow housekeeping standards and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.
Other duties as assigned
  • Assist with general shop tasks during equipment downtime
  • Participate in Lean improvement efforts and workflow optimization
  • Attend shop meetings and training as required
  • Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL

The Warehouse Associate works primarily in a warehouse and production environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, and all work must be performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift to 50 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction job sites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
