Responsibilities

Okaloosa Youth Academy is a non-secure, certified juvenile justice residential facility for males located in Crestview, FL. The mission of Okaloosa Youth Academy is to increase public safety by reducing juvenile delinquency in Florida through effective prevention, intervention and treatment services that strengthen families and turn around the lives of troubled youth. Okaloosa employs dedicated professionals whose goals are to help youth develop competencies valued by the community through therapeutic and educational programming in a secure, structured environment and to promote successful transition into the community.

We are currently seeking a Control Room Operator. This is a full-time position on the second shift (2pm-10pm). The Control Room operator is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of the facility through monitoring the cameras, communicating to staff through radios, searching visitors and employees upon entry and exit of the facility, maintaining control of the key and radio inventory (ensuring everything is signed out and in per policy) and completing all required documentation in the control room log book.
