Superintendent Full-Time
Salary: $120 – $145K, depending on experience.
Summary:
Schedule, coordinate and supervise Mechanical craft employee activities. Supervising one or more trade groups, including electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and similar within the construction industry.
- Resource Management:
Plan and supervise Equipment Start Up and Commissioning process, determine methods of construction, workforce levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule, and document actual hours worked. - Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities, and project schedules.
- Project Planning and Strategy:
Coordinate assigned work with the work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors. - Risk Management:
Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and establishing labor approach for the projects assigned. - Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Team Leadership:
Liaise with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. - Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required.
- Minimum of 8 years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
- Strong Mechanical background on Data Center projects (or comparable large scale projects) is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstration of ability to supervise large groups.
- Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $50M value.
- A valid driver’s license in the US required; willingness and ability to travel (estimated at 70+%).
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders (Preferred).
- Strong history of leading, motivating, and mentoring cross‑functional teams (Preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations (Preferred).
- Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes (Preferred).
- Proficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets (Preferred).
