Description
As an Electronics Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and advise on problems operating and maintaining aircraft Electronic Warfare, Guidance and Control, Communication/Navigation, Electrical and Environmental systems, associated components, subsystems, and test equipment on C‑130 aircraft.
- Ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and systems are operating and functional for flight.
- Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in avionics systems, built‑in‑test systems (BIT), multiplexed data bus systems, recording systems, video display systems, mission computer systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and sensors.
- Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force Technical Orders, manufacturer’s manuals, or similar documents.
- Use wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and technical publications to solve maintenance problems, determine proper maintenance procedures, and return systems and components to maximum efficiency.
- Diagnose malfunctions and recommend corrective actions.
- Receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher‑level technicians, and be reviewed for compliance with technical guidance and accepted practices.
- Provide technical guidance to lower‑level technicians when required.
- Perform additional tasks such as HAZMAT/HAZWASTE handling, corrosion control, inspection/repair, maintenance inspection, aircraft launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, towing, and jack/shoring aircraft.
- 4 years of experience in electro‑environmental, Guidance and Control, Communications and Navigation, and Electronic Counter Measures.
- Proficient at reading and interpreting wiring schematics and drawings.
- Ability to work from heights and confined spaces.
- Proficient in documenting AFTO 781 forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS), and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
- C‑130J Pressurization experience.
- Ability to navigate DTADS.
- Prior C‑130 inspection experience (Depot, Isochronal, BPO/PR).
- Soldering proficiency.
- Wire termination proficiency.
- Ability to use test equipment such as Pitot Static test set, HF/UHF, Fuel Quantity test set.
Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen.
Clearance Level: Secret.
Location: Crestview, FL.
Work Schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
