Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days: 4 ten-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call responsibilities.

The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room by establishing and managing a sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. During surgical procedures, they pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon while managing the sterile field and specimens, conducting counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained objects.

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Set up surgical equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and fluids during procedures.
• Manage the sterile field and specimens throughout the surgery.
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies before, during, and after surgery.

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience with robotic surgical systems is preferred.
