Overview

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide non‑profit that provides jobs for people with significant disabilities, including war‑wounded veterans. The Cashier is responsible for safe contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected at all times. The position requires knowledge of all job aspects and willingness to learn.

• Must be able to understand oral and/or written instructions.
• Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for assignment on specified contract(s).
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. May be required to work early morning, mid‑morning, afternoon, evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit, and lift up to 40 pounds;
