MEP Superintendent

The opportunity

Walbridge is looking for Superintendents that know how to and love to build! Schedule, coordinate and supervise

Mechanicalcraft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups, including electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and similar within the construction industry.

Location

You can belocatedanywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.

Yourkeyresponsibilities

• Resource Management
  :
  Planand supervise
  
  Equipment
  
  Start Up and Commissioning process,Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects) and/or craft activities such as,determiningmethod of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
  
  Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control,Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craftactivitiesand project schedules.

• Project Planning and Strategy
  :
  
  Coordinate assigned work withthe workof different crafts, company departments, or othercontractors.

• Risk Management
  :
  
  Assistthe Labor Relations Department inmaintainingcommunications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned.
  
  Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures areimplemented.

• Team Leadership
  :
  
  Maintainliaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure workcomplies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  
  Experienceassistingin resolving construction problems such as lack ofproductivityand work interfaces is required.

Overall,you will playa critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive significant growth and innovation within theorganizationand serve ourclient’sneeds.

Toqualifyfortherole,youmusthave

• Minimum of 8yearssupervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.

• Strong Mechanicalbackground in Data Centers’experienceispreferred.

• Titles by discipline may include,Technical Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent,or Electrical Superintendent.

• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, costcontrolanddemonstratedability to control and supervise large groups.

• Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $50M value.

• A valid driver’s license in the USrequired;and willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong history of leading,motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations.

• Successful backgroundmaintaininghigh safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.

• Proficiency in developing andimplementingproject strategies, plans, and budgets.
